This year the club will provide soft drinks and ice. You must bring your own lunch or be prepared to pick one up at a nearby to go restaurant..
The club request that you have a floor length cover on your table and if you don't have one you may use one of our rather expensive yellow plastic ones for an outrageous fee.
The registration for competition table will be manned by Don Walter and Roger Bligan, please be patient with them as they may have a hard time tying those little strings on the identification tags.

If you wish to register and have not done so for a table please email or call Bonnie Dunnewind at bdunnewind@hotmail.com or 317 287-2027. Now if she dosen't get right back to you please note she will be out of town from the 23 thru the 28 of Sept. So leave a message.

A carved wooden spool by Tom Backhoff
Wooden Mechanical Marvels by Lloyd Elliott
Our guest Michael Hall brought in a notebook of his stone projects and his collection of antique planners
Dennis Maddox brought a copy of Woodworkers Journal with an article about him and he will also be doing a demo on hand cut dovetails at Rocklers in October. Nice job Dennis

Our demo was given by our very talented Lloyd Elliott on making scissors and or pliers from wood that is 3/8 to 1/2 inch thick. Lloyd informed us that he now can make them in 5 min if no one is looking, but reminded us that it took over 2 hours to make the first one and it looked like a beaver had gnawed on it. It was interesting to see the ways Lloyd set up his work area and secured clamps , made jigs and templates. A BIG THANKS for a demo well done.

Just a reminder David Babb will be teaching us to carve a Santa Christmas ornament in Nov and in December in conjunction with Christmas dinner Bob Lawrence will show us how to make a mold from your own carving so you can make your own casting from various materials.
