2 3" 5/16 carrage bolts
1 2" 1/4 machine bolt (part of shaft is not threaded)
1 wing nut (makes a better bearing surface)
2 5/16 washers
Glue the sides to the block, making sure all legs are level so it doesen't rock.
Drill the hole for the pencil so that there is no slop for the pencil to fit smoothly.
You can thread the holes for the carrage bolts using the bolts themselves
